He always demonstrated a very open and sociable personality and a pronounced fighting drive on the Schutzhund field. Over a period of seven years, Rick and Boss participated in over 150 searches with "German Shepherd Search Dogs of Washington State," with several wilderness and water finds to their credit. Boss made friends for the breed wherever he went, and he was well known and loved throughout the entire Western Washington Search & rescue community."
