Sudden death from cardio.

Cody was one of a litter of all black puppies. he was the model for the Kimberly Clark ad and was the cover dog for the 1991 UDC Focus, a portrait by Telia Hanks (as seen above). Cody competed in the 1986 Gaines regional and according to Gail, he breezed through his herding instinct test. He was also multiple HIT in AKC obedience. He was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at age 5 and, sadly, the anti-arrhythmic medicine (Tocanide) he was given, caused him to go blind. Cody died a sudden death from cardio at age 7 years 3 months.
